"David made a cake that we will never forget! "
For our wedding cake, we wanted to intertwine familiar traditions with a hint of originality. We are both avid comic book fans, and have particular favorite characters that we feel best describes who we are: Green Lantern and Supergirl. To take the old tradition of a bride and groom, we found two statues of our favorite heroes, and had them floating over a city. This concept seemed outrageous, but we wanted to make sure our wedding and the reception following was a true reflection of us. David at Bamboo Bakery was absolutely enthralled with our concept and immediately began thinking of ways to make our concept a reality. He worked for months with the issue of the weight of the two statues, as well as how to make the city and river on the base of the cake look perfect. He was excited about working on our cake, and his excitement made it much more special for us. Without a doubt, David and his staff at Bamboo Bakery made our wedding cake something much more than a cake to enjoy for a special occasion... he made a cake that we will never forget!
